Anders Pehrsson Holmquist, born 28 Jun 1828 in Stovefors, Skelleftea, Vasterbottens, Sweden, died 14 Jan 1890, married to Sara Lovisa Olofsdotter, born 21 Feb 1829 in Sweden and died 10 Jan 1902. They are the parents of Peter Holmquist (1862-1943), who immigrated to the United States (Michigan) in 1883. Anders and Sara were my great great grandparents.
Johanna "Hanna" was born in Blekinge, Sweden on July 12, 1871 to Peter Johan "John" Nilsson and Ingrid Maria Svenson. She came to the United States around 1890 and her family settled in Cadillac, Wexford County, Michigan. She married Peter Holmquist sometime before 1894. Sometime after 1903 Peter and Hanna moved to Tustin, Osceola County, Michigan where they raised their nine children: Randolph, Elmer, Ruth, Lawrence, Esther, Hartley, Olga, Arnold, and Ingrid. Elmer was my grandfather. Hanna passed away on Christmas Day in 1957 at the age of 86.
Born 1862 in Sweden. Arrived in the United States in 1883 and moved to Cadillac, Wexford County, Michigan. This photo was taken in the early 1890s. Peter married Johanna Nielson and they had nine children, eventually moving to Tustin, Osceola County, Michigan. Peter died in 1943 at the age of 81.
John was my husband's great grandfather. He was born in Sweden in 1859 and died in DuBois, PA in 1936.
