Photo taken of Danylo Cilyk's granddaughter in Feburary 11, 1966. Back is written in ukraine and reads, "To my grandfather and grandmother from your granddaughter Olga." Olga's surname is unknown to me. My grandfather (her uncle) never shared these photos with anyone while he was alive.
I believe this to be a son-in-law of Danylo Cilyk. Back of photo is written in ukraine. I had it translated and it reads "To my grandfather, grandmother, and uncle Michael our late father Petro Brohorovych."
We believe this is our gr-aunt Maria Kvochko, sister to Barbala Kvochko Hercsok. And we know this is her husband John Kokajko, both from Lehocz, Austria Hungary. They took the two younger Hercsok children in after Barbala's death in 1914 and Gyorgy, the father dissapeared. John's first two wives died and he married a third time. So the children had 4 mother's by the time they graduated high school. My gr-aunt Maria survived a dynamic explosion accident while living in double-wide house in North Braddock. They they settled in East Pittsburgh, PA. John worked at the mill.
My gr-grandmother, Barbala Kvochko Hercsok and gr-aunt Ann. Barbala b. 1881, est. d 1914. Origin Lehocz, Uzhorod (Ungvar) Austria Hungary (at that time). Married to Gyorgy Hercsok (miner). Settled in Shoaf, PA. Four children: Maria, Anna, John & Elizabeth.
My maternal grandparents, John b.1899 & Mary b. 1900 (Hercsok) Kolesar. They lived in Wilpen, PA then moved to East Pittsburgh, PA.
