Mary Ann Carson Couch, born Apr 4, 1862 in Armoy, County Antrim, Ireland, came to the United States in Nov 1882.

Married George B. McClelland Couch at Robinson Run Church in Sturgeon, Allegheny County on Feb 22, 1883.

Died in Oakmont, Allegheny County on June 9, 1938.

The three children are:
Henry Hultz Couch, Jan 1884 - Oct 30, 1946
Robert Carson Couch, Jan 1885 - 1961
George B. McClelland Couch Jr, 1887 - 1915

Based on the youngest child, the photo was taken in 1887 or 1888.

George and Deborah Standing

George and Deborah Standing married Nov 22,1855 in Dewsbury, Yorkshire, England. They immigrated to the U.S. in 1870 from Lancashire, England to Iowa. They came on the ship the Idaho. They settled in an area in southern Dallas county just north of Earlham.

George was a tea taster. He also was a storekeeper in Leigh, Lancashire, England.

Both George and Deborah grew up Quaker continued in their Quaker faith in the conservative Bear Creek Friends meeting near Earlham.

George farmed in the Earlham area. He died near Earlham on March 14, 1912. Deborah preceded him in death on April 16, 1901.

Corporal Joseph Hogan

In Australia: Friends in Springfield Illinois have received word from Corporal Joseph Hogan that he is stationed in Australia with American troops. Hogan entered service in April 1941 from Montgomery county. He said that other boys from Montgomery county are with him and that they have received hospitable welcome from the Austrailian people. Corporal Hogan is the son of William Hogan of Girard, Illinois.

Nora Honor Lynch was born in 1864 in Clifden, Co. Galway and came to Pittsburgh in 1889 for the christening of her niece, Mary Martin.
