In Australia: Friends in Springfield Illinois have received word from Corporal Joseph Hogan that he is stationed in Australia with American troops. Hogan entered service in April 1941 from Montgomery county. He said that other boys from Montgomery county are with him and that they have received hospitable welcome from the Austrailian people. Corporal Hogan is the son of William Hogan of Girard, Illinois.
Nora Honor Lynch was born in 1864 in Clifden, Co. Galway and came to Pittsburgh in 1889 for the christening of her niece, Mary Martin.
Photo probably taken at that time or shortly thereafter.

John Boner was born in Austria 1874 and could speak five languages. He lived in Franklin most of his life and died in 1932.
