It was taken at Pittman Studio in Springfield, Illinois. It has a date of 1887 on it. On the back is written "August Ludwig Heerboth".</p> <p>I have located a Ludwig August Heerboth of Wheaton, Illinois but he would have only been 27 years old at the time and this man is obviously much older.
