Abram Griffith Hussey, originally from Lauderdale County, MS, served in the Confederate Army, enlisting when 15 years old. In 1874, he served in the Texas Ranger's Frontier Battalion. Husband of Alice Griffin, Louisiana Blanch Griffin, and Dorothy Spears Griffin. Father of Malissa Hussey Spears, Edward Grossman Hussey, and Jesse James Hussey.

Photograph taken about 1878-1880. The parents died in Village Mills, Hardin Co., TX. It is not known by this researcher as to when the family went to TX.

Tolitha Eboline Valentine was the submitter's 1st Great grandfather's sister.
