Irving George Loewit abt 1927

Irving George Loewit was born Dec 31, 1923 in Youngstown, OH. He was the son of Dr. George Loewit, Optometrist (1889-1962) and Sadye Friedman Loewit (1888-1968).

Irving served as a Junior Assistant Purser-Pharmacist Mate in the Merchant Marines during World War II. He graduated as an Optometrist from Ohio State University in 1950. He worked as an optometrist in Girard, OH. Irving later moved to Dayton, OH, where he started his own optometry business "Optical Fashions Centers". He ran the business and worked as an optometrist for several of his offices.

Irving had seven children. He died Dec 2, 2002 in Kettering, OH.
