This photograph was probably taken in early July, 1912 at the time of the funeral of Floretta Bell White Veazey Brunton (1872 – 1912). Floretta died July 5th and was the daughter of Arthur Neely White and Martha Jane McCormick. Also not shown, besides Floretta, are their sons, Robert K. White (1871-1875) and Harry Forbes White (1875-1875).

Front row left to right: Guy Morgan White (1881-1956); Arthur Neely White (1839-1915); Martha Jane McCormick White (1842-1922); and James McCormick White (1866-1951).

Arthur Neely White was a Civil War veteran. He served in Company A, 17th Pennsylvania Cavalry Regiment under General John Buford. This Union unit was assigned to the Army of the Potomac. He served in this unit with his uncle, Joseph White (son of Arthur White and Eleanor Brown) and with Milo Cain.
