August and Annie Fogel Horn

August Herman G. Horn, born 19 May 1865 in Germany, immigrated with his parents, William F. and Justina Horn, on the ship Baltimore. They arrived in Baltimore, MD, in 1873, and moved to Allegheny (now the North Side of Pittsburgh), Allegheny County, PA. 

Anna M. Fogel, born 27 Aug 1865 in Pittsburgh, was the daughter of German immigrant George Frederick Fogle and his wife Margaret A. Spahman.  Margaret was the daughter of German immigrants Philip and Franciska Spahman.

August and Anna were married 28 May 1891 in Pittsburgh. They became the parents of six children: 
William G. Horn, born April 1892, died 1945, married Mary Clark
May R. Horn, born 29 May 1894, died Sept 1974, married first,  Frank Peart abt 1913, and second, Henry H. Young abt 1925 
Helen M. Horn, born 4 Nov 1896, died Nov1983, married Horace Murray 
Walter M. Horn, born 30 Nov 1898, died Nov 1987, married Dolly 
August M. Horn, born 1900, moved to Detroit, MI 
Anna Marie Horn, born 21 Jun 1904, died 9 Aug 1989, married Howard Bertram Rogers on 12 Aug 1926 in Pittsburgh.

August and Anna Horn lived at 525 West Jefferson Street, Pittsburgh (North Side). The house is now gone. 

Anna died 29 May 1941 at the age of 75. August died 16 Feb 1955, while sitting in his rocking chair. He was 89. They are buried in Union Dale Cemetery, North Side, Pittsburgh.
