From left to right, John H. Stoop, Catherine "Katie" Finnegan Stoop, his wife, and their only child John W. Stoop, Sr.
John H. Stoop was a blacksmith by trade and lived for many years in both Pittsburgh, Aspinwall and Sharon PA working in the steel mills. He was also a fireman for a short time and owned a pool hall in Lawrenceville area around 1905-06. He was born in 1870 in Wellsville, Columbiana Co., OH and died in Chester, PA in 1933.
Catherine Finnegan Stoop was born in the Hill section of Pittsburgh in 1874 a member of St. Brigid's parish. She died in Chester, PA in 1959.
John W. Stoop was born in either Sharon or Aspinwall, there is no birth record, in 1907 and died in his home at Chester in May of 1960. He too resided for a number of years in Pittsburgh. He was a state licensed plumber and a steamfitter at Sun Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Co. when he passed away.
