Lewis Ransom Himebaugh

Lewis Ransom Himebaugh

Lewis Ransom Himebaugh was the son of Joseph Himebaugh and Susan Sherred Himebaugh. He was born in either 1852 or 1855 in Venango Township, Crawford Co., PA.

It is believed that he stayed in this area until he was a young adult. He married a woman named Baker (possibly Emma Baker). He, or they, adopted Jessie Geneva. She was born in Nov. 1884 in Buffalo, NY.

At some point, Lewis, who went by Ranse, and Jessie left Pennsylvania for the Midwest. It is said that they were related by blood in some way as well as by adoption.
