Julia Stone Barnes

Julia Stone Barnes was born in 1824 in Harborcreek Township, Erie County, PA, the daughter of Russell and Abigail Babcock Stone.  She moved in 1837 with her widowed mother and family to Summerhill Township, Crawford County.

She married Peter Barnes, who was born in Belvedere, NJ, in 1817.  They lived in Summit Township and became the parents of five children.  

As a widow, Julia spent her winters with her daughter, Libbie Barnes Alford in Garretsville, OH.

Julia Stone Barnes died in 1896 and is buried in Dicksonburg Cemetery.
