Donald Austin Williams, the son of George John Williams and his wife, Vera Clarinda Hagerty, born 22 Nov 1920 Irwin, PA and died 13 Aug 1987 in Las Vegas, NV.

Photo taken during his active service time in the U.S. Navy during WW II (1942-1946). He served as an Aerographer's Mate First Class. He began his war service on lighter-than-air duty patrols of the North Atlantic after training at AER School, Lakehurst, NJ. His military service had him primarily as a weather observer, but he also had duty as a tail-gunner. He war service ended with his final posting on Wake Island in the Pacific. During the war he received training as a Meteorologist; which career he pursued with the U. S. Government/NOAA until around 1985 when he had to take early retirement in Las Vegas due to poor health.
