Sarah "Catherine" Shiry Dinger

Sarah "Catharine" Shiry (1844-1907), daughter of John Shiry, Sr. and Mary "Polly" Shaffer Shiry. Catharine was blind in her right eye from 3 years of age. She’d been chased by a bull and the story goes she was injured. She married Levi Dinger (1854-1885).

Levi Dinger and Catherine had lived in North Freedom, Ringgold Twp., Jefferson Co., PA. when he died. She then moved to Stanton, PA. Neither have gravestones, she is buried in the U. M. Cemetery, North Freedom, and he reportedly in the E. U. B. at Dry Ridge (Mt. Tabor), Redbank Twp., Armstrong Co, PA.
