Unidentified Soldier and J. C. Bowlan of Herrington, Kansas

Found this photo in a Greenbrier, Arkansas flea market. Label says "J.C. Bowlan on right". It was found with other Bowlan photos related to Guin, Alabama. Based on this I believe the person is:

J. C. Bowlan
born 28 Sep 1921 in Oklahoma
died 6 Aug 1966
buried in Saint Johns Catholic Cemetery, Herrington, Dickinson County, Kansas
son of Frank W. Bowlan and Carrie Bell May
Served in US Army Air Corps in WWII and was LT COL in US Air Force Reserve
