She was the mother of 8 children, 3 of whom died in infancy: Elfa, Alice, and an unnamed son. Nannie met her husband William Andrews Krise on a trip to Johnstown, Cambria Co PA, to visit her sister Letitia Joy. He was conveniently attending Jefferson College in Canonsburg. They were married 29 Jan 1862 in Lewistown, Mifflin Co PA. To this union were born 2 sons, George Holmes and Warren Samuel Padget Krise, and 3 daughters, Lillian Mary Dorothy, Stella Irene, and Elsie Alfaretta Krise. Nannie moved back and forth from Somerset to Cambria Co as her husband followed a career of teaching and serving as a principal. Prior to her death Mrs. Krise suffered a paralytic stroke, and on her 55th wedding anniversary she suffered severe convulsions, which led to her death. She died 17 Mar 1917 in Centre Hall, Centre Co PA. Mrs. Krise was a Presbyterian whose funeral services took place in their home as was the custom of the times, and she was buried in Centre Hall, Center Co PA. Submitted by her great-granddaughter Sylvia Hott Sonneborn.
