Jones, Wilson Nathaniel Headstone

Jones, Wilson Nathaniel Headstone

This is one of the largest headstones I've ever seen - about 10 feet high and six feet wide. Wilson was Chief of the Choctaw Nation in the late 1890's. The headstone is in the Jones Cemetery on Shawnee Creek in Bryan County, Oklahoma. My Great Grandmother, Martha Risner, had a short marriage to the Chief and our half cousins, the Jones descendants, are still in Bryan County, Oklahoma.
