PVT. James Madison Hinkle Sr., born January 04, 1831, in Buncombe county, North Carolia, Died July 20, 1909 at home on Piney Grove Road and is laid rest in The Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Whitley County, Williamsburg, Kentucky, the cemetery is behind the church and his headstone is right behind the church. He married Delia "Dilley" Davis daughter Of Jobe Broughton Davis with his 1st wife unknown at this time.Served in the Company E., 32ed Kentucky Vol. Infantry Regiment on December 24, 1862 to August 12, 1863. James is the of William & Susannah "Treadway" Hinkle.

Andrew Craig McFarland was born Jan 8, 1847 in Whitley Co. KY. He married Sarah Kelen Steele daughter of Jonas and Elizabeth Grubb Steele. The family moved to Foxtown in Jackson County KY, some time after 1878. The family has been unable to complete the family album. We are still searching for pictures of Sarah, Cora and Elihu McFarland.

Children of A. C. And Sarah are: Barbara Ellen Johnson Gabbard, Walker McFarland, Laura Spivey, Richard, Nannie Hatfield McQueen, Elihu, Cora Johnson Vinie Rose and Verna McFarland Lainhart.
