Herman Edwards Morris

Herman Edwards Morris was born on July 13, 1910 in Saint Clair, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania. He was the 2nd of two children of Elizabeth Edwards Morris and William John Morris, they were of Welsh decent. This photo was taken in Saint Clair in the 1930's or early 40's. On May 23, 1937 he married Edith Alice Kull of Saint Clair. They lived in Saint Clair the majority of their married life. Herman and Edith had three children, David 1938, Elizabeth 1942 and Dawn 1955. Herman worked as a payroll clerk for the Saint Clair Coal Company from 1929 to 1956 when the coal company closed, he then worked for Quirin Machine Shop in Saint Clair. Herman passed away in November 1971.

Christian Shaffer and Magdalena Farringer Shaffer of Dry Ridge (Mt. Tabor) Redbank Twp., Armstrong County, PA.

Christian Schäfer/Shaffer, was born 26 Aug 1814, in Northampton Co., PA and baptized 24 Jan 1815, at the First Reformed Church, Easton, PA. He was a son of Samuel and Rosina Fuchs/Fox Schäfer. Christian died 5 Aug 1881 at his home in Dry Ridge, PA., where they were early settlers.

Christian married Magdalena Farringer, b. 22 Mar 1822 in Schuylkill County, PA. She died 23 Jun 1896, at her home in Dry Ridge. She was the daughter of George Farringer/ Foeringer, Jr. and Maria Magdalena Schreckengost of Mahantongo Twp., Schuylkill County, PA.

Benjamin Lowe, born 1903 in Tamaqua, Pennsylvania. He was married first to Mary Ellen Williams and they had two children: Harry, born 1922, and Louise, born 1924. He left his wife and children and moved to Indiana....date unknown.
