Taken at Bias, Delbarton, Mingo County, WV; and her mother, Nancy Elizabeth Dempsey Hunt b. June 6, 1879 (date listed on tombstone) d. June 25 1971.

Nancy was the wife of Lewis Hunt.

They were married Sept. 15, 1915 in Mingo County, West Virginia.

Mary Bess Hunt and Samuel Workman were married June 16, 1941 in Mingo County, WV.

Mary Bess Hunt Workman was born Sept. 13, 1925 in Mingo County, WV and died Jan. 8, 2001 in Williamson Memorial Hospital, Williamson, Mingo County, WV; she was the daughter of Sid Hunt born April 1901 and died 1976 and Ada Estepp born Oct. 1905 and died Sept. 28 2003. She is buried at the Sid Hunt Family Cemetery, Bias, Delbarton, Mingo County, WV.

Samuel "Sam" Workman was born Nov. 11, 1921 in WV and died Sept. 26, 1979 in Morgonton, North Carolina. He was the son of Ira Lewis Workman and France Ball. He is buried at the Workman Family Cemetery, Elk Creek, Delbarton, Mingo County, WV.

James "Jim" "Redhead" Messer, born October 1858 in Wayne County, WV, Died November 1923 in Mingo County, WV.

He was the only child of Morgan Messer born 1837 in Perry County, KY; died March 16, 1897 in West Virginia (Morgan was a Civil War Veteran) and Elizabeth "Bettie" Williamson born about 1840 in Lawrence County, KY.

James Messer married five times:
1) July Ann White married Jan. 18, 1877 in Logan County, WV
2) Surrilda Spaulding married Jan. 15, 1881 in Logan County, WV
3) Cordelia Abbott married October 7, 1888 in Logan County, WV
4) Elizabeth "Bettie" Jackson married March 24, 1907 in Mingo County, WV
5) Haney Messer (daughter of Bryant Messer) married Aug. 16, 1923 in Mingo County, WV

Frances Ball born Jan. 15, 1903 at Irish Creek, Lawrence County, KY; died June 16, 1978 in Mingo County, WV; buried at Elk Creek, Delbarton, Mingo County, WV; the daughter of Lewis Edward Ball and Elizabeth Young.

Ira Lewis Workman and Frances Ball were married September 10, 1918 at Chauncy, WV. They were the parents of:

* Douglas "Doug" Workman born June 6, 1919 died Dec. 1984
* Samuel "Sam" Workman born Nov. 11, 1921 died Sept. 26, 1979
