Kathryn Abbott

Kathryn Abbott died while a student at Hartford City High School, Hartford City, Indiana.

"The usual gay regime of the closing days of the term has been greatly saddened by the illness and death of one of the most popular student-friends, Kathryn Abbott, who died at her home on East Elm street, early Sunday morning, May 14, [1922] after an illness of only nine days. Kathryn, the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Abbott, was born here November 19, 1904. She attended local schools all of her life, having as friends, members of the faculty and student body alike, this being in a large measure due to her ever-ready smile, cheerfulness, and quiet disposition. She was a member of the Presbyterian church, and during here high school career was a member of the Castalian, Anaid, Latin, L. T. L., and Glee clubs."
