Vincent and Martha Marquis Cottam Family 1916

Vincent and Martha Marquis Cottam Family 1916

The older couple seated are Martha Marquis Cottam and Vincent Cottam.

The children on the floor, left to right:
Elizabeth Curl, Mark (Marquis) Curl, Margaret Curl, all children of Charles Andrew and Esther Villa Cottam Curl.

Back row, left to right:
The woman is probably Margaret, wife of Vincent Walters Cottam who is standing next to her.

The woman with hands on Martha's shoulders is probably the younger Vincent's mother, Wilhamena Walters Cottam, wife of Charles Marquis Cottam, who was the son of Martha and the elder Vincent, who is seated next to Martha Cottam.

However, it's also possible that the woman on the other side of Charles is Wilhamena which leaves the other woman unidentified.

The woman with the baby is Esther Villa Cottam Curl, (daughter of Martha and Vincent). The baby is Martha Louise Curl. Next to them Esther's husband, Charles Andrew Curl.

Photo taken about 1916, probably at the Cottam home, 1311 Fifth Ave, Beaver Falls, PA.

Submitted by Kaye Moore Coller, great granddaughter of Vincent and Martha Marquis Cotton, granddaughter of Charles Andrew and Esther Villa Cottam Curl, and daughter of Martha Louise Curl

Since I posted this photo, I have found that the woman with her hands on Martha Cottam's shoulders is actually the Dorothy Cottam, daughter of Charles Cottam and his second wife, Laura Rissler Cottam. His first wife, died soon after the birth of his son Vincent. This information was supplied by a relative of Dorothy after seeing the photo online.
