Henri Roy and Friends, abt 1928

Henri Roy and Friends, abt 1928

Winter, around 1928.

Henri Roy and his brother Yvon Roy are two of the kids on the sleighs. But we don't know who the other people are. The mother and father (not shown) were Cecille Gagnon and Gerard Roy.

About the house in the background: It's located on 1st Avenue in Saint Georges de Beauce, Quebec, Canada. I was told that n 1898, Joseph Adelard Gagnon had construction begun on this tall three storey wood-framed house on 1st Ave est. When completed two years later in 1900, he and his wife Marie Jessie Bilodeau, moved in. They had at least five children including Cecile Gagnon (father of Henri).

Joseph Adelard Gagnon was a photographer who took many of the old photographs of events and happenings in Saint Georges de Beauce's history and the surrounding Beauce county.
