Joseph William Travis born Nov. 22, 1831 in Plumville, Indiana County Pa., the son of William P. and Jane McPherson Travis of Indiana County Pa.
Joseph married Susan Travis and had 3 children: William B., Anna Bell Travis Swartz and Robert Travis.
He moved from Indiana county to Shelby Co. Ill., Nemaha Co. Kansas, and died Aug. 23, 1891 in Wray, Colorado.
