He served as a private in Co. K, 29th Regiment Georgia Volunteers, C.S.A, enlisting on 4 Oct 1861. He died of disease 27 Apr 1862 in Augusta, GA.

Wow! What a handsome man! Would LOVE to have this picture in a frame in my house. I had many men in my family as confederates - Greene County, GA as well as AL.
I just love looking at him. So much determination. Sad he died not long after this photo. Very sad.
