Miss Mary Kathryn Richardson: To Miss Mary Kathryn Richardson of 1121 Converse Avenue, goes the credit for giving the first blood transfusion to 12 year old Norma Jean Young. This transfusion was followed by such great improvement in the child's condition that her physician was led to bring Mrs Rose McMullin from Philadelphia for a second transfusion. Mrs. McMullin will arrive sometime today.: State Register, Springfield, Illinois, 1940's
