Albert Whitaker , son of Mrs Albert Whitaker of Bettendorf, Iowa, formerly of Griggsville, Illinois is reported wounded in action. Whitaker, a seaman second class, enlisted in teh navy in May 1941, and left for active service on his eighteenth birthday anniversary. He received training as a mechanic. He was a graduate of Griggsville High School with the class of 1941: WW11: Navy
