Five Sons of Spanish War Veteran Hefley Now in Service

Robert Hefley Sr. of Hillsboro, Illinois, a veteran of the Spanish American War, has the distinction of having five sons in the service in World War 11. Mr Hefley has resided in Hillsboro since his birth and for many years was employed in the coal mine here.
Pfc. Francis Hefley has been in the service since March 1941 and is in the infantry at Fort Ord, California. He recently hsd a 12 day furlough which he spent here with his father and other relatives.
S/Sgt. Robert Hefley is in the air corps and is stationed somewhere in Africa. He has been in the service since January 1942.
Corp. Guy Hefley is assigned to the office of the Provost Marshal of the Military Police and is located at Hotel Antlers, 616 N.Second Street, Milwaukee, Wis. He went into the army in October 1942. Corp Hefley was here over the Memorial Day week end.
Pvt. Glenn Hefley is in training in the Air Forces and his address is Pvt. Glenn Hefley 3648196 Keesler Field, Mississippi. He entered the service in April this year.
Pfc. Carl Hefley, who has been stationed at camp Santa Anita, California, is in the Quartermaster Corps of the Ordnance Division of the infantry. He has been in service since September 192. His location at the present time is not known to his family.
The Hefleys have two sisters, Mrs Ray Pease of Hillsboro and Mrss Isabel, who resides with her father. Pvt Glenn Hefley's wife and son Garry are also residing for the present in the Hefley home. Mrs. Robert Hefley Sr. passed away several years ago.
