Detroit aids Chicago Fire 1871
In 1901 the Detroit newspaper printed these faces as some of the Detroit firefighters who went to Chicago to help with the Great Chicago Fire in 1871. Two pieces of equipment were set on rail cars along with the firemen to give aid to their brother firefighters.
