Frank sat for this photo about 1942. The cancer he was dying from already attacking his face, can just be seen in the photograph.
Frank was the son of Isidore and Rosalie Sprigler Banet. They were all from Floyd County, Indiana, although Isidore had been born in France before immigrating to the US as a boy with his parents.
Frank was married to Adeline "Della" Eve. The couple had 8 children.
