John Hiram Epperson, the submitter's wife's great grandfather. John was born January 3, 1835, in Montgomery Co., Indiana. He died February 16, 1903, in Hutchinson, Reno Co., Kansas. He is buried at Eastside Cemetery, Hutchinson, Reno Co., Kansas. John was married, August 8, 1862, in Henry County, Illinois, to Nancy Mouck.
John and Nancy had five children: Arthur Hiram Epperson (1865-1919), Maude M. Epperson (18671935), John Claude Epperson (the submitter's wife's grandfather), (1869-1935), Willis "Pedro" Clyde Epperson (1872-1938), and Edith Epperson, (1878-1944).
