Unknown Woman and Child

I found this photo in a box of pictures from my mother. Because it was taken in Des Moines, Iowa, I think it has to have some connection to the Leslie or Cornell family. There is no writing on the folder. I would like to know who it is, where it was taken, etc. so maybe I can figure out where it belongs in my family. I am sure it is not a first cousin.
