Domestic Science Class, Mankato High School, Mankato KS 1917

From the 1917 Mankato High School yearbook:
This year twenty-five girls are enrolled in the Economics course. The work is divided into Domestic Art and Domestic Science. In the first year's work in Domestic Art they are taught raffia and reed work, sewing, simple embroidery, straight line drafts, and the making of simple garments. The Domestic Science work was introduced with canning and preserving, followed by regular laboratory work. The preparation and serving of meals has been a strong feature of the work. The classes are divided into groups of four, these groups plan, prepare and serve three or four course breakfasts, dinners and luncheons.
The names of the girls are unknown.

anyone in mankato remember McLain Family
My grandfather Charels McLain was born on Mankato in 1907. He married my grandmother there. I'm trying to find some info on any McLain from that area.
Your help is appreciated!
God Bless
