Whiskered but well, Lt Thomas Harmon, former Michigan football star, managed to grin after friendly natives guided him to this American base in Dutch Guiana. This U.S. Army Air Force phot shows Harmon seven days after his bomber crashed in teh jungle. WW11 1940's

My brother Thomas Michael Harrington was named after him. We were living in Michigan at the time and my Grandfather played football. So football and the service was all the talk in the house.
