Handwritten on the back of this postcard: "This is a photo of my property located in Baring Missouri 57 miles west of Ft. Madison Iowa on the Santa Fe Ry double track. A good town and fine prairie farming country, as good as Iowa or northern Illinois. House has 8 rooms, 1 1/4 acre of land, barn, garage, chicken house, well & cistern, 1000ft of cement sidewalks and fruit trees. Rents for $200 per year. Baring MO has a $3,000 hotel and other buildings equally as good. Price for this property $7000. Cement sidewalk put in since photo was taken. Built in 1913 in fine condition".
