Dr. Amos Robert Smith and Natalie Leontine Ruset Wedding Photo

Dr. Amos Roberts "AR" Smith was born Dec 1850 in Fort Edwards, NY and moved with his family to Erie in 1852. He earned enough money drilling wells to pay for Medical school in Baltimore and became a doctor in Texas and finally in New Mexico were he died in 1914. Amos met his future wife in 1881 while doing his internship in New York City. Her name was Natalie Leontine Ruset (1855- 1895). She died from consumption.
