Whitehall Building & Battery Park, New York City, NY abt 1917
Photo from a postcard from about 1917. The info on the back of postcard reads:
"Battery Park faces New York Harbor, being the Southern end of Manhattan Island. The Aquarium formerly known as Castle Garden Fort, contains a complete collection of fish, sea turtles and other deep sea animals. The Whitehall building is the nearest sky-scraper to the Harbor, the newest addition rising to a height of 32 stories, 416 feet. The building was finished in 1911 at a cost of $4,600,000."
