This house is still

This house is still standing, not as pretty, minus shutters and gingerbread trim here in Eau Claire, Wi. It was being lived in by Hannah Garnett Prestons daughter and son in law Amos S. Garnett and Leah per the city directory dated 1897-8. The address then was 188 Ferry St., now it is 106 Ferry St. I have a similar picture, same house, some of the same people, but different time, poses, etc.

N. A. Preston is Nathan A.

N. A. Preston is Nathan A. Preston Photographer of Eau Claire, Wisconsin born of Nathan & Hannah (Garnett) Preston in Maine.

Hannah's death notice says she moved to Pennsylvania [Potter Co.] in 1856 and to Eau Claire, Wisconsin in 1868. She died Oct 10, 1897 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin two days short of her 88th birthday.

I'm assuming that Hannah is sitting in the chair and her sons are behind her. The one in the dark suit looks like it might be N. A. Preston.

This was probably taken in Eau Claire, Wisconsin on 12 Oct 1896

My grandmother Justina S. Jones I believe is Mary Etta Jones' sister.
They were born in Ellsworth, ME. Justina Jones was married to Willard M. Smith in 1882, if this is correct please let me know.
