Baby Girl Abandoned in Department Store

This blue eyed , red haired baby girl, about three weeks old, wails for attention after being abandoned during an Easter shopping rush at a large New York department store. And she got from it from customers and clerks. With the baby were left a bundle of diapers, a bottle, and a note saying only that the bottle contained proper infant food. She was taken to a New York foundling home. 1940's New York
