Jirah Swift Brown, born June 26, 1824 at Waterbury, VT, d. Jan 20, 1899 at Rockdale Twp., Crawford Co., PA. He was the son of Braddish Brown and Eliza Liscomb.
He married Apr 22, 1852 Elmina Lois Chapin, b. Dec 16, 1828 at Madison Co., NY, b. Aug. 12, 1870. She was the daughter of Samuel Chapin and Percy Holmes.
Jirah and Elmina are both buried at Chapinville Cemetery, Rockdale Twp., Crawford Co., PA
