Ira Fish served with the 150th New York Infantry during the Civil War.
He enlisted as a private on 6 Sept 1862 at the age of 22, and enlisted in Co. A, 150th Infantry Regiment New York on 10 Oct. 1862.
He was promoted to Full Corporal on 26 Dec 1862, to Full Sergeant on 5 June 1863, and to Full Sergeant 1st Class on 24 Apr 1865.
Sgt. Fish mustered out Co. A, 150th Infantry Regiment, New York on 8 Jun 1865 in Washington, DC.
His widow, Almeda Fish, applied for a pension in 1889.
