He was married to Genevieve Starkey of Mansfield who died giving birth to their son, Henry Starkey Bartlett. Henry was adopted by Victor's sister, Valeda who married Elmer Fick. Henry lived with them in Elmira, NY.

Henry is buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Mansfield PA with his mother. He was killed in a tragic trucking accident in June of 1941, while helping to build Sampson Naval base.

Victor Everitt Bartlett was a direct descendant of Josiah Bartlett who signed the Declaration of Independence.
