Simon Peter Steward

My husband was just fooling around on the computer tonight and typed in my great-grandfather's name and your information popped up. I do not know if this would be my great-grandfather or not, but I did have a great-grandfather named Simon Peter Steward. He lived with us a few years in the late 1940's. My grandmother's name, and one of his daughters was named, Hazel Mae Steward Jordan, my great-aunt's name was Fern Steward (she never married) and his son's name was Carl Simon Steward. Uncle Carl married and had a daughter, but no one in our family ever knew his wife's name or his daughter's name. I may have his birth date in my genealogy at home, but we are in Florida visiting one of our children and won't be home for several days. If I don't have information, there is the possibility some of my living aunts may have further information concerning him. I will check with them as well. What I do recall about Grandpa Steward is that he was a very small man--one of my sister's has a chair that belonged to him. His daughter, Fern was also a very small woman. We grandchildren always used her as a measuring stick--we all thought we had "arrived" when we surpassed her in height. Uncle Carl on the other hand was tall and large. My grandmother, Hazel, was an average sized person although I remember her as also very plump. If this is your missing Simon Peter, I will have a few pictures to share. I know he was still alive in the 50's, but just off the top of my head, I don't recall the year.
