Thank you!

Hi Sharon -

I don't know if you remember me but we corresponded about 10 years ago. My father is Lloyd Garrison and Ira Garrison is my grandfather. We went to your home (also about 10 years ago) but you weren't home and I think it was your son that we briefly spoke with. After that we lost touch. My husband and I moved to Florida from Salt Lake City 5 years ago. I can't thank you enough for posting these pictures! I had a picture of my great-grandparents Mary Ellen Hartzog and George William Henry Garrison when they were older but I had never seen the picture you posted of them when they were younger. It stopped me in my tracks because my father's face and GGM Garrison's face were the same! Thank you so much for sharing. I hope that you are doing well. I still remember "sharon sparkle" and sparkle is exactly what seeing that picture made me do. Thank you and have a very Merry Christmas. Nancy (Wininger)

Thanks for this picture. I am a descendant of George in the back row.

finding my link to McClures

I was going through some of my families stuff and found a paper that said our ancestry. The problem is I don't know how it links to me. I have names so I was wondering if you have the information to fill in the blanks. We don't know who wrote the paper but it said Samuel McClure and Mary Stout and it also talked about grandma Mericle. All I can tell you for sure is that the McClure's in our family is through a woman named Lida E. McClure who married Charles O. Lloyd but I can't find anything on a woman named Lida, I'm not sure what the E stood for (I'm finding a lot of people went by their middle names also). Any information you could provide would be grateful, this side of the family is hard since they didn't keep track of things very well.

You might want to take a look at this site. It's free and has helped me a lot over the years with my family searching. I hope that I have helped you a little with your search.
