The photo of this baby is part of an album dated December 25, 1890. It is believed this baby and other photos are relations and/or friends of the Hoagland family of Clinton, Summit County, Ohio (who relocated to Navarre, Stark Co., Ohio). This album was inherited from my great-grandparents, Thomas Carl & Fern Mary (Hoagland) Stringfellow of Navarre, Stark County, Ohio.
The picture was taken by Freeburn & Nichols, Factory St, Canal Dover, Ohio.

This sort of looks like one
This sort of looks like one of those photos where the mother was draped so as to appear to be a chair and was actually holding up the child. There is a name for this kind of photo, but I don't recall.
