John C. Donahey born October 13, 1845, son of James and a Miss Fulton. March 21, 1871, he married Catherine Chaney. He was a teacher, a stock broker,township clerk, and he became the first Mayor. He was elected Clerk of Courts in Tuscarawas County. The children of John C. Donahey are A. Victor, born 1873,J.Harry, born 1875,John William , born 1883. Their residence was in New Philadelphia, Ohio.
