Ohio Valley Hospital, Steubenville, Ohio

Photo from an old postcard.

Dr. Thompson and Ohio Valley Hospital, Steubenville, OH

I think Dr. Thompson was the surgeon who reattached my father's four fingers when he was in a train coupling accident (PPR Railroad)in 1950. All four of his fingers eventually worked again. Dr. T. had him exercise them with silly putty. My Dad remembered Dr. T. showing this surgical marvel to a lot of people. He must have been a great surgeon.

My patient records for December 1949

I am trying to determine if Dr. Thompson, of Weirton Steel Company, preformed knee surgery in this hospital on that date. I had it done due to an accident at Weirton Steel Company in the 10 and 16 mill there.

Dr. Thompson

Doc Thompson came from Canada originally. I know of several surviving medical assistants from the old WSX company. Do you have a more precise date.
