According to the Sandusky Star Journal, 20 Nov 1920, Mr. Yaple was the son of Mrs. E. Yaple of Kingston, Ohio, married Mable Steffenhagen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Steffenhagen of Tyler Street, Sandusky, on 20 Nov 1920 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Sandusky.

Mable Steffenhagen Yaple was a 1914 graduate of Sandusky High School. She taught in the county schools, then went to work at Geiger Jones Company. After their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Yaple rented an apartment at 109 1/2 East Madison, Sandusky.
