Mother Julia Patterson-Drake, born November 30, 1861, passed April 24, 1947, she and her mother were sold as slaves for one horse. She was the first convert of Rev. Forest Hawkins in 1919, the founding pastor of the First Church of God In Christ, Beaver County, Pa. The church moved from the streets into her home on Wykes Street. She served faithfully as janitor, Head of Missionary Society and Church Mother. Mother always had a word from the Lord. She loved to sing and pray. Her favorite hymn "By And By".
