Freedom, PA Football Team 1930
Tony Chop was on the Freedom, Beaver County, PA, High School Football Team or Varsity "F" Club.
At the beginning of the school year of 1930, there were only a few members of this club left. Namely, Seniors Joseph Cutrona (one of the greatest athletes Freedom High School had ever seen), Eddie Stewart (the football captain and class president), Dick Packer (managed the basketball team), Harold Myers, Raymond Chirichetti, Frank Triska, Elmer Daumiller, and Adam Alberts. Albert Clark was a Junior. John Triska, Vincent Bobish, Joseph Chirichetti, Samuel Cutrona, Frank Kronstain, and Harold Keefer were Sophomores. There was not much activity during the football season but they held an initiation for the new members who made their first letter in football.
Tony Chop was a Junior in 1932. He played basketball, and earned his "F" as a Guard in football. He is seated in the bottom row, 2nd in from the right.
This photo appeared in the 1931 Swastika yearbook of Freedom High School, Freedom, PA.
